Modern classics and collectables - Ochre
Ochre’s distinctive lighting and furniture has caused a stir ever since this design company began in 1996. The first creations were exquisitely crafted gessoed lamp bases, which were delicately coloured, water gilded and perfectly balanced.
The recurring themes of Ochre’s work – proportion, texture, contrast and finish – were all in place. n the world of Ochre, the iterative process of designing and making is as beautiful as the end product itself. Each design begins with learning the possibilities and limitations of a material, and understanding how to master techniques to create modern collectables.

Pont des Arts, a brand with passion in art and lifestyle, is launching the exclusive 2012 collection today. A private party is held today to invite wine enthusiasts, media and customers for the launch of new collection, in the presence of great Chinese artist Yue Minjun. Yue Minjun is one of the leading and contemporary Chinese artists with best known for oil paintings depicting himself in various settings, frozen in laughter.
Subsequent to two fruitful years of collaboration with the late Chinese master Zao Wou-Ki, who passed away in 2013, Pont des Arts is ready to write a new chapter in its story of Wine & Art.Zao Wou-Ki was the perfect bridge between France and China, the champion nonpareil of the Chinese painting tradition intertwined with the Zeitgeist of the 20th century. He succeeded in expressing both his French and Chinese roots through his extraordinary paintings.
Pont des Arts would like to reflect upon another facet of Chinese culture characterized by the emergence of a new generation. As a leading figure of the aforesaid generation, the world-renowned contemporary Chinese painter, Yue Minjun, exhibited his paintings at Fondation Cartier in Paris in early 2013. The exclusive exhibition was a tremendous success, particularly welcomed by the younger generation reverberating all over France.
Arthur de Villepin and Thibault Pontallier, co-founders and CEOs of Pont des Arts, were deeply impressed and moved by the exhibition. They met with Yue Minjun in Beijing on various occasion before arriving at the decision of combining the best of a new selection of French wines with the exceptional Chinese art pieces by Yue Minjun. They are proud and thrilled to collaborate with such a terrific artist.
Pont des Arts 2012 Collection
Pont des Arts has spared no effort in providing the best selection of French wines for the 2012 Collection. Thanks to the remarkable versatility of Thibault Pontallier and his father, the legendary French winemaker Paul Pontallier, Pont des Arts is able to showcase excellent wines from different terroirs from both Bordeaux: Sauvignon Blanc, Rive Droite and Lalande-de-Pomerol; and Burgundy: Côte de Nuits-Villages, Nuits-Saint-Georges and Meursault.
