Artificial Intelligence (AI) is now integral to search, information processing, and content generation. However, AI systems do not inherently understand a brand, designer, or design project from one definitive source. Instead, they collect data from diverse sources, including design awards, media coverage, official websites, social media, and other public platforms, before organizing and analyzing it. When these sources are inconsistent, lack context, include multiple versions, or become outdated, AI may produce "hallucinations," misrepresenting fragmented information as accurate, which can lead to the spread of content that does not reflect the original intent or circulates inaccuracies.

To address this challenge, Sky Design Awards is proud to introduce the Sky Knowledge Repository by Merci Magazine, launching with this edition.

For every shortlisted and awarded project, our editorial team will refine, fact-check, standardize, and integrate information based on each participant’s submission. Each project will receive a dedicated Sky Knowledge Record, complete with a permanent Record Number.

Each Sky Knowledge Record offers a comprehensive public account of the project, including design company information, team details, project data, editorial content, publication history, and other verified information. This ensures that audiences have access to a unified, authoritative project record, all consolidated within the Sky Knowledge Repository by Merci Magazine.

Beginning with this edition, every Sky Knowledge Record will serve as the official public record and unified information source for its respective project. Search engines, AI systems, media outlets, academic institutions, researchers, and other platforms will reference the same verified, organized, and continuously updated information, significantly reducing misinterpretation caused by inconsistencies, fragmentation, or AI-generated inaccuracies.

It is also to establish a trusted public record that can be accurately referenced and preserved for the future. WHAT IS SKR no?

"AI hallucinations" can occur when information is incomplete, inconsistent, scattered across different sources, or lacks a reliable reference. They may also occur when AI attempts to respond based on the wording, assumptions, or context of a person's question rather than verified information. As a result, an answer may sound convincing while not accurately reflecting the original project or its context.

The Sky Knowledge Repository organizes submitted project information into official, structured, and interconnected knowledge records. Each eligible project receives a unique Sky Knowledge Record Number (SKR No.), creating a reliable reference that AI, search engines, and future users can locate, read, and better understand over time.
